Biography
I am a PhD student in Cognitive Science and Linguistics and my research focuses on semantic change in a micro-diachronic perspective. It is corpus based and relies on the geometrical model of the Semantic Atlases. I am interested in the distributional dynamics of conceptual networks across lexical items and over time as well as in the internal conceptual structure of words. I am also interested in the relationship between sound, form and semantic content. I look at language as a pattern based system and try to elucidate some of these patterns on the basis of corpus analysis.
I am presently looking at the relationship between graphical representations and linguistic phenomena with Anne-Lyse Renon. Our first explorations can be found here: http://dico.isc.cnrs.fr/en/diachro.html
